As we can see, everything is raising, eeeeeverything, except our incomes and my grades, jaja. And don’t know how is it call nowadays by our authorities, but my economy teacher calls it “INFLACIóN”. And I don’t know a lot of economy or politics but, as far as I know, inflation is not like a good omen for a country. When I was studying for the exam, which I have just made on Friday, I noticed that almost all the economic models that the governments use are focused on the control of inflation, this means that they avoided it. So, I can’t understand why our government is now satisfied by saying that the prices of everything are increasing. It should be a very obviously reason that none of us, none of the innocent, silly, and deluded persons like me, can understand.
My mother came yesterday almost petrified because she could only buy the third part of what she was going to buy on the market, because every price has risen a lot, some products costs the double than before! And is not as the common situation, that when the price of something increases, we are obliged to buy the complementary thing that substitutes the expensive one. (Like when the tortilla increases, a lot of people began to buy bread because it was cheapest). That is not possible now because now EVERYTHING has increased! Jaja. So, we are oblige to consume less. That will provoke a decreasing of the demand and then the enterprises are not going to have enough incomes to keep producing. The economic cycle could stop, and we could enter in crisis!!!!!, then we must need and “American hero” to be rescued. …but that’s only one possibility beyond one thousand. Jaja. I prefer to think that my mother, the same as the other million of people living on mexico, could have an increase on their salary, so things could have a balance. I really like our actual president, so I am still hoping that he wont disappoint me. Meanwhile, I hope a lot of luck! To all the young people as me, who has the responsibility of change these “little details” of our dearest country.

Q tal!?!!!! jajaja. What a team! i think a deep part of us, wonder to be as the protagonists of action movies, who makes very dangerous things with their lovely couple, as the perfect team. Which woman hasn’t wonder to be as Mrs. Smith with her boyfriend besides…Furthermore, any “dangerous” action done with him is kind of exciting. But, making just little pranks or tricks with the man you love, is not the same as selling drugs… Although I cant deny it should be very exciting, I neither can imagine the blindness power of love. Has she enter to those business because, as many Disney movies taught us, “she loved him”? (any way, in that case we wont call it love, but dependent) Or she was already on that business and she became his girlfriend just like another transaction? Or it was just another illness relationship between two persons with many empties and conflicts? Or it was only love? Well, we cant know, Maybe they neither know. However it should be interesting. 'Bewitched' actress Alice Ghostley, (Samantha's mother), dies at 81
(Alice is the beautiful woman that is stand up on the top)LOS ANGELES, California -- Alice Ghostley, the Tony Award-winning actress best known on television for playing Esmeralda on "Bewitched" and Bernice on "Designing Women," has died. She was 81.
Ghostley died Friday at her home in Studio City after a long battle with colon cancer and a series of strokes, longtime friend Jim Pinkston said.
Miles Kreuger, president of the Los Angeles-based Institute of the American Musical, said part of Ghostley's charm was that she was not glamorous.
"She was rather plain and had a splendid singing voice, and the combination of the well-trained, splendid singing voice and this kind of dowdy homemaker character was so incongruous and so charming," Kreuger said.
In the 1960s, Ghostley received a Tony nomination for various characterizations in the Broadway comedy "The Beauty Part" and eventually won for best featured actress in "The Sign in Sidney Brustein's Window."
From 1969 to 1972, she played the good witch and ditzy housekeeper Esmeralda on TV's "Bewitched." She played Bernice Clifton on "Designing Women" from 1987 to 1993, for which she earned an Emmy nomination in 1992.
Ghostley's film credits include "To Kill a Mockingbird," "The Graduate," "Gator" and "Grease."
"I knew I didn't look like an ingenue," she told The Globe. "My nose was too long. I had crooked teeth. I wasn't blond. I knew I looked like a character actress.
"But I also knew I'd find a way," she added.

I really LOVE this tv serie!!!!!!! is one of my favorites! I always left everything I had to do when there were going to pass on tv. Actually I missed my cousin’s graduation because of seeing the chapter in which Samanta’s baby was born! I loved this girl (Samanta) !! She was so funny! And so smart! If I could be a tv character I would be her without doubt! I really liked it…And the character that represented her mother always reminds me to my mother, always putting her nose on things that aren’t her businesses, jaja. I guess how this actress, that has alredy died, was with her own daughters, supposing that she ad daughters. I like the idea that she died at a very old age. As everything, it is just the process of live. Sometimes we are not really conscious about the proximity that we have with death daily, Mostly at my age, we live as if we would live forever… big mistake! Mistake that we still doing every single day, and that we will continue doing. If we are not conscious about our own cycle of live, how can we be conscious about other peoples process of live, other people’s death, mainly the one that we love. If we observe, when someone we love dies, we cry a lot and feel a deep hole on our hearts…but we are so selfish that we don’t really cry for the person, very few people realized that they are really crying for themselves, because they know they are going to be more lonely than before, because they know they will miss the person, because they are repented of many things about their relationship with the person., and many other reasons that still includes themselves, but not truly the death person. If we weren’t so selfish we could understand the process of the beloved life and we would be happy because we know he is on a better condition. … Well, whatever it is… I express my condolences to Alice Ghostley’s family.

PASADENA, Calif. -- NASA's Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter is examining several features on Mars that address the role of water at different times in Martian history.
Features examined with the orbiter's advanced instruments include material deposited in two gullies within the past eight years, polar ice layers formed in the recent geologic past, and signs of water released by large impacts when Mars was younger. Last year, discovery of the fresh gully deposits from before-and-after images taken since 1999 by another orbiter, Mars Global Surveyor, raised hopes that modern flows of liquid water had been detected on Mars. Observations by the newer orbiter, which reached Mars last year, suggest these deposits might instead have resulted from landslides of loose, dry materials. Researchers report this and other findings from Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter in five papers in Friday's issue of the journal Science.
"The key question raised by these two deposits is whether water is coming to the surface of Mars today," said Alfred McEwen of the University of Arizona, Tucson, lead scientist for the spacecraft's High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment camera and co-author of three of the papers. "Our evidence suggests the new deposits did not necessarily involve water." One of the fresh deposits is a stripe of relatively bright material several hundred yards long that was not present in 1999 but appeared by 2004.
The orbiter's Compact Reconnaissance Imaging Spectrometer for Mars reveals the deposit is not frost, ice or a mineral left behind by evaporation of salty water. Also, the researchers inspected the slopes above this and five other locations that have bright and apparently young deposits. The slopes are steep enough for sand or loose, dry dust to flow down the gullies. Bright material seen uphill could be the source. Other gullies, however, offer strong evidence of liquid water flowing on Mars within the last few million years, although perhaps at a different phase of repeating climate cycles.
Mars, like Earth, has periodic changes in climate due to the cycles related to the planets' tilts and orbits. Some eras during the cycles are warmer than others. These gullies are on slopes too shallow for dry flows, and images from Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter's high-resolution camera show clear indicators of liquid flows, such as braided channels and terraces within the gullies.

Historical and transcendental sentence to Microsoft! (the owner of the Encarta u use everyday Pancho!)
TODAY AT 9:30 THE READING OF THE BIGGEST JURIDIC SENTENCE WILL BEGIN! Today in Luxemburg, Europe justice will evaluate if the sentence that was imposed to Microsoft, in 2004, of 497,2 million of euros!!!! The reason? Because he “had abused of its dominant market position.” An investigation concluded in 2004 that Microsoft was guilty of freezing out rivals in server software and products such as media players. Do you believe that? Jaja. I mean, that has been always a truth known by everyone… As a result, It was ordered to change its business and fined 497million euros, also to ensure its products could operate with other computer systems by sharing information with rival software companies, this means to make a versions of its Windows operating system available without software such as Media Player. Can u imagine Microsoft doing that? Jajaja! So what do u think Microsoft did? Yes, of course he stills arguing that this fine should be rescinded, he stills challenging the EU ruling..

Could Kyoto Protocol learn from Montreal?
Related to the montreal's protocol birthday, i had heard that the countries involved wanted to set their objective one decade before, this means, reach their objective 10 years before than planned. This could prevent the emission of gases equivalent to 35,000 million of tons of co2!! Of course this would be something really amazing and very very gooood 4 everyone… 'cause this means 15 times more than the results that pretend to reach the Kioto Protocol in his first 5 years of operation: 2,000 millions of tons, and that’s the 5,2% less each year than the number of gases emitted on 1990. If i was already proud of this protocol, i'm even a lot more proud of it, i'm almost crying...well not, but i am really fan of it. jaja. i only wish this would not become into a competition between the kioto and the montreal protocol, iam praying so these countries wont forget the principal objective of helping the planet, and they wont fall into the same tramp as always: looking the one that has more power than the other.. i think that after the 2 world wars and the cold war..we are really exhausted and tired about that. So, let's pray for the planet, because it really needs it. jaja.

Although there are some little details to resolve, it has been a big and amazing help to protect the ozone, and
By this, to protect us and all the living beings who live on this planet! It has also make slower the climate change provoked by the earth warming… U want numbers? Ok, so this treat that was signed by 190 countries around the world, has reduced in a 95% !!! yes, ninety five percent, the substances and all the gases (such as the CFC’s and the HCFC’s, mostly) that prejudices the ozone.
Its principal objective is to end with aaall this substances for the 2040. Meanwhile, it is prognosticated, according to the advances that have been reached till now, that in 2020, there will be prevented more than 100 million of cancer in the skin!!! So imagine how many lives are gonna be saved thanks for this marvelous treatment.
I am really glad the countries had fogot their differences for a moment, and begin to worry about what is really important: our planet! Which is shouting for help in this moment.

Gorillas, China's baiji dolphin and Pacific corals have joined the list of species hurtling to oblivion as global biodiversity exerts warn of a fast-track 'global extinction crisis'.In an update of its Red List of biodiversity, the Swiss-based World Conservation Union (IUCN) says it has identified 41,415 species at threat.Of this, 16,306 species -or 39% of the total - are in danger of extinction, 188 more than last year.The Red List, one of the most authoritative markers of biodiversity, is compiled by conservationists, who apply strict criteria to evaluate sightings of the species and the state of its habitat.One in four mammals, one in eight birds, a third of amphibians and 70% of the world's assess plants are in jeopardy, the IUCN says.The new Red List, unveiled in Paris this week, places the spotlight on several species.The Yangtze river dolphin, or baiji (Lipotes vexillifer) has been hit by pollution, fishing, river traffic and habitat destruction. A long search for the mammal last November and December proved fruitless, causing it be listed as critically endangered (possibly extinct). Corals, which have been added to the Red List for the first time, include 10 species from the Galápagos Islands. Other Galápagos species added to the Red List include 74 species of kelp. A total of 723 species of turtles, snakes and other North American and Mexican reptiles have been added to the Red List. At-risk plants include the woolly-stalked begonia from Malaysia and the wild apricot from central Asia. So I don’t know what is sadder: the fact that we are loosing more than 40,000 different types of living, or the fact that we don’t even care about it. We are worrying more about things that will not last for more than 100 hundred years, such as power and money, and we are just turning back for things that have survived in this planet for more than one million years! Sometimes we think we are “owners” of the planet, “owners” of all that lives there, “owners” of the 41,415 species at risk, but let me tell you that THEY ARRIVED FIRST. We just came, and modified their world, the home where they were peaceable living! And now, we believe we are owners of the planet. Please! Any animal is going to kill for pleasure, but human does, and I am sure that if some day we need their help, if our race would be in extinction some day, as their species are, they would not doubt in helping us, in helping the other type of living that shares home with them… but that’s not the case, because as human livings, as the only “rational” and superior animal, as we call ourselves, we have the responsibility of take care of the other living creatures, but look what we have done to the earth that god, or whoever u want, gave us… 16, 306 DIFFERENT SPECIES are in danger of extinction… After some years, we will be only able to see the biodiversity, the richness of the world, in museums and photos, because of course, humankind is used to see “biodiversity” just as an entertainment… well is your decision.It has been your decision since you became part of this world. As an special edition of this important celebration (la independencia de México pa kien no lo sepa) I will tell u some curious things that doesn’t make us bad to know…here they go:
Firstly, did u know that “México” means “in the navel of the moon” or what is the same…“en el ombligo de la luna”? that’s because in náhuatl.. “meztli” means moon (osease luna) and “xictli” means navel (osease ombligo). The Aztecs used to say “meshico” … and today we used to say “méjico” but it’s written with X, as the song of Timbiriche says.
Did u know that the meteor that provoked the dinosaur’s extinction was collapsed, 65 million of years ago, on what we know today as the town of ChicXulub, in the coast of Yucatan?? Yes, and the impact formed a crater of 180 km of diameter, and nowadays it’s hide under 600 meters of land. It was discovered in 1981 while workers of PEMEX made perforations to search oil. Yes, another wonder from Yucatán to the entire world! jaja
But…do u know what does “Yucatán” means? No, it is nothing related with moons or with hills or with navels, and with any part of the body, neither… it actually comes from the Spanish conquer, when a Spanish man asked to a native which was the name of that wonderful place, and the native answered “YUCATÁN” and that’s how they put it, but they didn’t know that what the native was saying was: “I am not from here” (osease…”no soy de aquí”) !!! jajaja. Lo que es no saber idiomas verdad? Jaja.
And guess what?? El Zócalo is not called El Zocalo because it’s on the center of the city…jaja no no.. it is because in 1842, the president Antonio López de Santa Ana wanted to construct a column for the celebration of the independence day of mexico… but it was not finished (as it’s natural in our country jaja), and it only remains the base, that is also called zócalo in Spanish. This base stayed for many years there, as the same for the name…but then the base was retired, but the name of the place stills the same.
You surely know that the first president of mexico was Guadalupe Victoria…but what u maybe don’t know is that his true name was “José Miguel Ramón Adaucto Fernández y Félix” válgame dios… so it’s understandable why did he change his name, jaja.. to Guadalupe, in honor to the Mexican virgin, and Victoria, because of the victory of the insurgents band.
And talking about politics, do you know why is Los Pinos called Los Pinos, although there haven’t been any pines in the surrounds? Jaja ell, this is because the president Lázaro Cárdenas, the first inhabiting this place, wanted to put this name in remembering of the place, -an orchard in Michoacán (Guys! At least we are going to see something in the trip!!!!)-, where he met his wife.
And tell me something: who invented the first system for television in colors??? No, it wasn’t Da Vinci, and no, it wasn’t Benjamin Franklin, it wasn’t even an American!!! And no!!! it wasn’t Paco Stanley!!! He was Guillermo González Camarena, a mexican guy of only 23 years old!!
And, so u can be even more proud of your country…do u know that it is the city with the biggest number of museums IN THE WORLD??
And more over…El Castillo de Chapultepec… is the only true castle in aaaaall the American continent. (of course u are not thinking in Disney’s Castle because, in the name of God, it’s not a real royal castle! Don’t get lied, it’s just fantasy! (sorry if I disappointed u))
And something you must always suspected…Yes, it is the country with more taxis in the world, with 60, 000, of them …without counting the Piratas ones! just imagine! (just triply the number! jaja)…and thank you and your family, it is the biggest consumer of cola drinks “refrescos de cola” per capita! Per capita means for each person!!! Jaja…
So now u can celebrate this date with a little of more conscience about what been mexican really means!

We actually must not be celebrating today…because in fact, the date in which “el padresito Hidalgo” shouted against the “regimen virreinal” in favor of Fernando VII, (and not because of the Mexican independence, let me disappoint u) was in the dawn of the 16th, there was no shout in the night of the 15th…buuuut, in order that it was a tradition to do it as the pre-party jaja, and in order that it was Porfirio’s birthday…this president decided to make official this day of party. However, nowadays the 27th of September is not celebrated, even when this was the date on which the trigarant army entered to the city, and our independence began…yes, before we used to celebrate also this date, but because of some conflicts with the liberals and conservatives… we stopped doing it…. Never Mind! Jaja i don’t want to become a partypoooper, a killjoy, jaja, so let’s have fun, no matter which is the reason, we are glad to be mexicans and that’s the only thing that matters!!!!!

Lonely people's immune systems go haywire, researchers say. They have something in their genes that makes them more potential to have illness and even to die before...
They used a gene chip to look at the DNA of isolated people and found that people who describe themselves as chronically lonely have distinct patterns of genetic activity, almost all of it involving the immune system.
The study does not show which came first: the loneliness or the physical traits.But it does suggest there may be a way to help prevent the deadly effects of loneliness, says author Associate Professor Steve Cole from the University of California Los Angeles.
"What this study shows is that the biological impact of social isolation reaches down into some of our most basic internal processes: the activity of our genes," Cole says."We have known for years that there is this epidemiological relationship between social support - how many friends and family members you have around you - and a whole bunch of physical outcomes."Many studies of large populations have shown that people who describe themselves as lonely or as having little social support are more likely to die prematurely and to have infections, high blood pressure, insomnia and cancer. "There is something about being isolated and lonely that changes your body."
The researchers set out to investigate this theory and publish their results this week in the journal Genome Biology.John Cacioppo, a psychology professor at the University of Chicago, has been studying the health effects of loneliness for years in a group of people who have allowed him to delve in-depth into their social lives and health.

Cole's team took blood and studied the gene activity of their immune system cells; the white blood cells that protect from invaders such as viruses and bacteria.All 22,000 human genes were studied and compared, and 209 stood out in the loneliest people."These 200 genes weren't sort of a random mishmash of genes. They were part of a highly suspicious conspiracy of genes. A big fraction of them seemed to be involved in the basic immune response to tissue damage," Cole says.
The findings suggest that the loneliest people had unhealthy levels of chronic inflammation, which has been associated with heart and artery disease, arthritis, Alzheimer's and other ills.

Cayó un 23% la tasa de mortalidad infantil
Did you know that 9,7 MILLIONS of boys whose age was less than 5 years, died in only ONE year (2006)?
9,7 millions of little boys!!!!!!!
Probably you haven't already realised what this stadistic means...beacuse of all the shit you see on TV, all the images of people killing themselves,something that has become normal for us.
Try to focus on a boy u know of 5 years, i don't know, your cousin, your sister your neighbor, or even you before starting primary school. Ok, know imagine this little boy died, and now imagine this event 9,7 MILLIONS times more. Well, this happens almost every year.
UNICEF has anounced that, because of the efforts of many campaigns that are focused on preventing some diseases in poor little boys, almost one quart , this is 23%, of the mortality of guys less than 5 years, has decreased. Thanks God!
However, there are too many other boys dying each year, and there is people just cutting their veins because they haven't the "enough" for living...enough love, enough attention, enough health, enough Money (yes, with capital letter)...
PLEASE! look on what surrounds you!!! and stop thinking only in yourself! if you could see, not in photos or magazines, but in live, only ONE of the 9,7 millions of these cases, i can swear you would stop crying about your "problems".
72 babies per each 1000 borned, died!!! and this was just in 2006, and in fact the number was decreased in comparison with other years. So please, instead of wondering who is thinner, if your friend or you, or thinking which would be the best "fashion emergency" for the guy behind.. improve and make something useful and great of the live that has been given 2 u.

Today la covacha is in party!…because today we are going to make true the desire of one of our readers: the first translation from the politician to the spanglish language…And who is going to make us the honor of being our godfather in this inauguration? TuRuRu TuRuRuuuuu….! No one could be better than our dearest Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon, who (somebody told me) has the plans of taking care of the city…ahhh, wait a minute, somebody is calling me.. he has already taken care of it? Ah sorry sorry, I repeat.. Marcelo Ebrard Casaubon who is taking care of the city…
So the case that our fiery reader sent us is this:

After 50 years they “discovered” …new paintings?
As far as I understand, something that is discovered is something new, and as far as I know we all know how did Frida and Diego paint.
I am not an art analyst but I am a simple person that is really bored with all the merchadotecnia that everyone, (everyone who doesn’t really know about art, about the truly importance of these figures in our country) makes about some pieces of paintings that are exhibited EVERY single year. In my experience, I had gone to almost all the “new” expositions about Frida and Diego, and there are always the same things, the same pictures, the same easel, the same paint table, the same wheel chair, everything the same, (except the policeman). Then a few months later they are going to announce that there is going to be another exposition with “unknown” things…I will go…and I can sware that there will be the same things as ever…and I can say that because it has been aaaaalways the same..So I will not fall this time (on this new exposition that is going to be , I refuse to make the same mistake, and I am going to stay on my dear covacha, watching TV, as all the uncouth people…hoping somebody, not me, could see something new about this couple who is actually more famous than Niurka and Bobby. Mmmm..actually not, now that I reflex it better, I sincerely think the last ones are more famous. Jjaja. Or what do you think?
p.d--Just in the case you are interested in: the “new” paintings that Hilda Trujillo, the directress of La Casa Azul, had discovered (two months ago) were on a secret room on the house that the couple ordered to wall in….. ooooh yes!

For all the people (well, there aren’t as much as “all the people”, actually, there are only 3 persons -.- jaja) who have asked me about the meaning of “covacha”….
