American Indian Tribes: cutting personal.

To be sincere, I don’t really care about american indian tribes. They could disappear at all and my live will be the same. The could quick all their population, and my world will still rotate…But maybe this could be important, or even interesting, for you, so here you have the news. Maybe it could change your life, or maybe not (what is more probable). But it’s your decision, so let’s se the American tries to simulate they have a culture and a history worthy of honor. Jaja …

PROVIDENCE, Rhode Island (AP) -- Dennis Champlain's grandfather helped win federal recognition for the Narragansett Indian Tribe. Champlain himself has danced in tribal powwows and teaches his children that they are Narragansetts.
Yet the Narragansetts say he is no longer a member of the tribe.
Champlain and his extended family are among thousands of people removed from American Indian tribes in recent years, often amid tribal squabbles or when a casino comes to town. In Rhode Island, the Narragansetts' removal of about 140 of roughly 2,400 members has become an issue in Saturday's election for the tribe's chief sachem, or leader.
Tribal officials say they have the right to decide who is a member and to prevent fraud by people angling for a share of gambling money. But many of those kicked out complain they have little recourse to fight what amounts to an attack on their identity.
"We're in the process of a redefinition of tribal identity at its core," said David Wilkins, a political scientist at the University of Minnesota and a member of North Carolina's Lumbee Tribe. "It's ramping up in a way that's really quite frightening to a lot of Native people."
Wilkins traces most purges to four factors: internal political squabbles, stricter racial requirements for membership, punishment for gang or drug-related crime and, most often, during debates over sharing casino profits.
A 1978 U.S. Supreme Court ruling said the federal government should not intervene in most tribal membership disputes, leaving appeals up to the tribes.
John Gomez Jr., 39, a Pechanga member since childhood, was kicked out in 2004. He said gambling profits were one factor: He lost free health care and a $15,000 monthly payment. But he said he and others had questioned leaders before a tribal election.
The Pechanga council has said it cut members who should never have been let in.
It's not clear how many people have been removed from tribes in the last few years. There are 562 federally recognized tribes, and tribal governments are not required to report citizenship decisions. But the number is in the thousands.
Gomez's advocacy group counts at least 1,500 people ousted from 13 tribes in California.
In Michigan, the Saginaw Chippewa want to remove about a tenth of their 2,700 members due to rules that require them to be at least one-quarter Indian. Critics said it's an attempt to cut casino payments.
The Cherokee Nation voted in March to deny citizenship to an estimated 2,800 descendants of tribal slaves.

Having oral sex with a 15-year-old girl when u are 17: 10 years of prison (it's that too few?)

ATLANTA, Georgia (CNN) -- Genarlow Wilson was released from prison Friday, after spending more than two years behind bars for a teen sex conviction.
"At times I dealt with adversity ... my family and myself, we finally get to deal with happiness now," Wilson said, with his mother and sister at his side.
The Georgia Supreme Court earlier Friday ordered that he be released, ruling 4-3 that his sentence was cruel and unusual punishment.
Wilson, 21, was convicted in 2005 of having oral sex with a consenting 15-year-old girl when he was 17.
Wilson said he first heard about the possibility he'd be freed Friday when someone told him word was out on the radio.
"I'd seen it coming, but I didn't exactly know when," he said. "I'd just stopped trying to figure the courts out and stopped trying to put a date on it."
Wilson said he was looking forward to spending time with his family and plans to enroll in college to study sociology.
"You will not be disappointed," he told his supporters. "I plan on succeeding in life."
Wilson also said he doesn't regret rejecting a plea offer that could have freed him from prison months ago -- but would have required him to register as a sex offender.
"I'm glad I stayed down for my cause," he said. "I accepted the situation that I got myself into, but I never accepted that label."
At the time of Wilson's conviction, Georgia law made the crime punishable by 10 years in prison. Changes in the law made such conduct "punishable by no more than a year in prison and no sex offender registration," the Georgia high court noted.

Here are alcohol consequences in teenagers. I hope he could learn about his experience, to make a good and healthy live now that his is not in prison. I don’t like those people whoa are complaining about everything… (athpugh many times I am one o them)… complaining about what live has forbidden to give them, about how hard are things for them, and forgetting all what live has give them, all the opportunities they have that many other people would need or want. However, its our decision: to see falls as a trap that live has planned you to fail, or as opportunities to learn, grow, and do things better. I wish Wilson could mature during this period he was on prison, and he wont act as most of the guys of his age, seeing everything as lazy obstacles. What really surprised me, was his attitude, that instead of thanking laws and the Court, he just complaint about his situation still now. Oh my God! What’s wrong with the youth of these days???

UNICEF: Afghan children in danger (nooooo a poooooco??)

THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
GENEVA - The danger posed to Afghan children by continued fighting between Taliban militants and the U.S.-led coalition is greater than at any time since 2002, UNICEF said yesterday.Presenting his assessment of the situation in Afghanistan, former BBC war correspondent and UNICEF ambassador Martin Bell said the country faces a "make-or-break" moment in which progress made during the past six years could be reversed unless greater efforts are made to protect children.School enrollment has risen and child mortality is much lower than before the ouster of the Taliban in the U.S.-led invasion in 2001, he told reporters in Geneva.
But bombing campaigns by militants and aerial bombardments by NATO forces mean Afghan children "are probably more at risk now than they have been since 2002," Bell said.Roadside bombings and Taliban suicide attacks directed at foreign troops this year have killed and injured dozens of bystanders, including children. In some cases, militants have directly attacked schools, killing girls, who they believe should not receive an education, according to the report. The violence, and threats made to parents who send their daughters to school, are keeping a million girls from education, it said."In the first six months of this year, 44 schools have been closed in Afghanistan - either as a result of direct attacks or else intimidation of parents and teachers," Bell said. The intensive use of air power by NATO troops is also putting children at risk, he said. In June, 27 civilians - including 17 children - died when coalition forces bombed Taliban positions in Helmand province. The report recommends nonmilitary efforts and long-term projects to ensure the safety of Afghanistan's children and improve education, health and economic opportunities in the country. To see the report, go to http://www.unicef.org/.

It is known that children are the future of a country, so what are we going to do with a future that has seen the death of its ideals, its family, its believes, its hopes. In a situation war is obvious kids are not going to expose their lives going to a school, that maybe would be closed by government, or maybe in danger of being bombarded. They have no fault of USA problems. They are no guilt of political, military or cultural differences between countries, and they are the ones who are suffering the worst consequences of it. What a shame! I hope they don’t loose this: hope.

Kien lo Hubiera Dicho? (de este pobre viejito)

MADRID, Spain (CNN) -- A Spanish court Friday agreed to allow the extradition to the United States of a Syrian-born arms dealer charged with conspiring to sell weapons to a Colombian terrorist group and conspiring to kill Americans.
A spokesman for Spain's National Court, which handles terrorism cases, said judges agreed to grant the U.S. extradition request for Monzer al Kassar, who was arrested in Madrid in June.
Kassar, who has been fighting extradition, can appeal to a larger panel of judges at the same court, but the Spanish government will still have the final say.
Police arrested Kassar in June as he arrived at Madrid's airport from the southern Spanish city of Malaga. Two other men were arrested in Romania as part of the same case and were extradited to the United States last week.
The U.S. Embassy in Madrid said Kassar and the men conspired to sell millions of dollars' worth of weapons to the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, which the United States has designated a terrorist organization.
The U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York charged Kassar with five counts: conspiracy to provide material aid to a terrorist group, conspiracy to kill American citizens, conspiracy to kill U.S. officials and employees, conspiracy to acquire and use anti-aircraft missiles, and money laundering.
Some of the charges carry a sentence of life in prison
Kassar had recently told journalists he retired from arms dealing, but the embassy said he had been involved since the 1970s, providing weapons and military equipment to armed factions in Nicaragua, Cyprus, Bosnia, Croatia, Iran, Iraq, Somalia, and elsewhere.

Providing weapons and military equipment to armed factions in Nicaragua? Where have I heard that before? I don’t know, elsewhere except USA of course…nothing about Irangate, or the use of illegal money of campaigns to sell weapons to contrarevolutionary movements…Any way, we all know USA will always have the reason, But it should stop a little bit its paranoia, I mean, not everything has necessarily to involve him, not everything is about him, not everyone is making conspiracies against him, not everyone wants to kill his people… There are many people, believe me, that could live happier without you. :D. Unfortunately I am not one of them, so sorry for some of my opinions about you on this blog. ;)

A Polish Missile Crisis?

MAFRA, Portugal (AP) -- Russian President Vladimir Putin Friday compared the U.S. proposal to build a missile defense shield in Eastern Europe to the Cuban missile crisis of the 1960s.
"Analogous actions by the Soviet Union, when it deployed missiles in Cuba, prompted the 'Caribbean crisis,"' Putin said at a news conference at the end of a European Union-Russian summit in Portugal, using the Russian term for the Cuban missile crisis.
"Such a threat is being set up on our borders," he said.
At the same time, Putin suggested the tension was much lower than during the 1962 Cuban missile crisis because Russian-U.S. relations have moved on since the Cold War. He also said he believes the United States is listening to Moscow's concerns about its missile plans.
Putin said his relationship with President Bush helps solve problems in relations with the U.S., calling him a friend.
The U.S. plan would install a radar base in the Czech Republic and 10 interceptor missiles in Poland -- both former Soviet satellites that are now NATO members. It is part of a wider missile shield involving defenses in California and Alaska which the United States says are to defend against any long-range missile attack from countries such as North Korea or Iran.
Russia strongly opposes the idea, saying Iran is decades away from developing missile technology that could threaten Europe or North America, and it says the U.S. bases will undermine Russia's own missile deterrent force.

Aaaaaa! I don’t even know what to say! I know kids of 5 years old, more mature than USA! We all know your “power” (if power for u means money and military extrasuperultra weapons, as for little kids power means the newest toy in the supermarket) so u don’t need to make it know, with your stupid “missile defense shield”, to the simplest persons of the world in Iran, who only need a piece of cloth to wear and a piece of food to eat and just want to leave then in peace!… and less to Russia, who had already overcome the Cold War trauma. You know perfectly, because u have provoked in a great way, that Iran, is very far away from developing missile technology that could threaten your country! So please, let’s overcome it,…it’s time to mature!!! Don’t u think? We all know u have won, there’s no more candies for u, stop bothering those who want a live of peace and tranquility!...not as you,…I don’t believe it, making a missile defense shield when we all are, iran and all the entire planet, who really need to put a defense shield from u!

Hillary Clinton turns 60 !

"Happy Birthday to uuuuu , happy birthday to uuuu happy birthday Dear Mrs. EX president… happy birtday to uuuu”… that’s what Elvis Costello sang in her birthday party, (but without the EX) just as Marilyn Monroe did to President Kennedy, well, not with such a grace, but the detail is what counts. jaja Like or dislike, now she is 60 years old!.. and she stills giving something to talk about. To celebrate her entering into the third age, she organized a party, with her family and friends, where she raked $1.5 million in thanks to Elvis Costello and Billy Crystal., just an approximate amount of cash. Is good to know people are still getting excited about their birthdays, because with the pass of years, you may become bored about getting old “an entire day of every single year”. Its no matter of having a big party as Hilary, is just matter of celebrate another year given by any God u want to believe. Like a new opportunity to start again. It will never be too late, because u can’t know when does your trip of live is going to stop. Well, all I want to say is: Congratulations Hilary! Enjoy this photo, it’s my birthday gift!

Take care of trains and make your feet obey

WATAUGA, Texas (AP) -A 5 yearold boy playing on train tracks fell and was unable to move before the train struck and killed him, police said.
Kevin Bradford and two other boys had sneaked past their grandmother to look for dinosaur bones (aaaw) on Thursday, police said.
Workers aboard the Union Pacific train traveling through the small North Texas town of Watauga saw the boys on the tracks but couldn't stop in time, Union Pacific spokesman Joe Arbona said.
Kevin's 7-year-old brother and 5-year-old cousin made it safely off the tracks and ran home. Kevin's foot got caught in the tracks and he fell, officials said.
Watauga Police Chief Rande Benjamin said Kevin's death was an accident and charges would not be filed. A report was sent to Child Protective Services for review.
Texas ranks second in the United States for pedestrian-train fatalities. From January through July, 29 pedestrians died on Texas railroads, according to the Federal Railroad Administration.

I don’t have the fortunate of having brothers, but I felt as sad as if this boy was my brother. The story seems to me as those brown movies of cowboys and railroads. It’s a shame that with so many tools we have nowadays these things still happening… Of course it was an accident, but it’s also true that it could be prevented: danger signals, electrical bars, I don’t know, some of those mechanical things that man has invented.. Well, I can only hope that this could be useful to learn the lection and don’t wait another accident of this type, so the authorities should make what is proper, at least putting a danger signal with red letters, so no more kids die in the future. I am agree with the fact that o charges were filed against the railroad team, but just imagine how is the conscience of the man that saw the kids on the way and couldn’t stop the train on time! He should be at least a little guilt, although it was not his fault… these things just happened. But we must take more care of our own lifes,, because nobody will do it, nobody will love us, better than ourselves. :D

too young to die..

Eight tourists, including one Briton, have died after being swept away by flash floods in Thailand while exploring a cave.

The group were in Khao Sok national park when the cave flooded.
The dead Briton was named as John Cullen, 24. A 10-year-old German boy, four Swiss nationals and two Thai guides also died.
Mr Cullen's girlfriend, Helena Carroll of Solihull, survived by clinging on to a ledge in the cave's roof.
Ms Carroll, who is 21, said: "One minute I was in what I thought was the most beautiful place in the world. The next thing there is death all around me." Speaking on Thai TV station TITV, she said she was shouting: "'Help me! Help me' all night. Then I saw a light."
It sounds like those American programs of nature disasters or like “911” where people, years after the accident, still having their trauma… jaja. But this was ver recently, so it has justification. Yes, is a sad event, im sorry for the tourists, but that’s what you are risking wen you go out to a beautiful but dangerous place. It’s say that women are the worst companions for a trip, besuse they are so much “queens” that they cannot resist to survive a “dangerous” event. But see this! The woman was the only one that survived! Casuality? Obviously not!!!!

Chavez and Castro F 4 E & E (Friends for ever and ever)

Cuban President Fidel Castro has spoken live on television for the first time since handing over power last year as he underwent a serious operation.
Mr Castro spoke by phone on Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez's weekly chat show, being broadcast from Cuba.
Mr Chavez is in the country to mark the 40th anniversary of the killing of revolutionary icon Ernesto Che Guevara.
Mr Castro phoned to discuss the Guevara legacy, and the two leaders laughed and joked together for several minutes. Video footage from a meeting between Mr Chavez and the Cuban leader, said to have been filmed on Saturday, was also shown during the programme.
I think this should stop rumours about his death or that stuff that he suffered a major relapse. However, it’s true that he is not the same young man that made the revolution in 1959… if he wasn’t the same after 2 years of government, imagine after more than 40 years of it… someone (and not USA) should be thinking on the best story to tell us about the ending of Castro, or do they expect that we believe that he will be staying alive after 100 years? at least, bad grass never deads (hierba mala, nunk muere)
The same as chavez... the difference is that the last one is not as cute as my dear Fidel. Actually I think that if Santa Claus some day would be unable to do his job, I wish Castro could come to my house for some milk and cookies… but chavez!!! If I saw him entering through my chimney… I would surely call the police! If he steals such a big amount of money from venezuela’s incomes, why don’t he invert that money on a face surgery? I don’t know, it’s his decision, and this is only a suggestion. However… is glad to see how a friendship is still keeping.
Good health for friendship!!!

Madonna changes her owner?...no, her owner changes her jaja

Warner Music fall in the count that Madonna will have 60 years in the last year of the contract she signed for the enterprise. And they have already realized, that although it could be a recrd guiness, it will not have any economic sense. Imagine, if now she doesn’t get the enough incomes to sustain the overheads of her cd’s…how it will be when she become into a sixty year old woman…? Old age is old age, here and in China, for me and fo Madonna too. However, it would be interesting to hear her voice at that age. Unfortunately Warner Music doesn’t think that, That’s why they have the disposition of giving Madonna, with a red ribbon on her head and a greeting card, to Live Nation, another music promoter. The gift comes with 120 million dollars, too. But here is some other information , so you can know of what I’m talking about :

and the winner is...

Elisa Nájera Gualito from Guanajuato won the competition between the most beautiful girls in Mexico… although we all know that we have seen prettier women in our country.. but not all of them participate. It was a poor ceremony, actually, but i like it because, as every year, shows the pride of being a Mexican woman. I like the winner, and I hope she would enjoy all the opportunities she is going to have. Although I believe in miracles I don’t hope that she could win Miss universo because I just don’t want to have a disspointment again. Jajaja. My best wishes!

...and i also want peace world! xoxo.

The finalists: Ana Gabriela Espinoza, de Nuevo León; Esmeralda Pimentel, de Jalisco; Elisa Nájera, de Guanajuato; Irene Chavira, de Colima, y Guadalupe González, de Jalisco.

sorry

yesterday, we loose a great human being...Moisés Krauze Pajt. (Jewish and engineer, beloved father)
Hoping he would be on a funnier world..
my best desires to his family.

..and they were happy forever...

A 24-year-old Argentine man has married a woman 58 years his senior.

The groom, Reinaldo Waveqche, told reporters after the ceremony in Santa Fe, northern Argentina: "I've always liked mature ladies."
Mr Waveqche added: "I don't care what other people say." He and bride Adelfa Volpes, 82!!!!, are planning to travel to Rio de Janeiro for their honeymoon.
Asked if the marriage was purely spiritual, Ms Volpes laughed and replied: "There is going to be more."
The couple were married in a civil service after several years of engagement, and later walked through a local church surrounded by reporters.
Their love blossomed when Mr Waveqche went to live with her after his mother's death when he was 15. He said he admired his new wife's zest for life, and emphasised how special she was to him.

I also don’t care what people say, and I want to believe this is pure love… (however I can stop imagining some of my friends telling me: please lau!! Open your eyes! “Truly love” doesn’t exist, is just an illusion!. This guy has only married the old woman because of her money, and no more. Men always searches for something more, only for their interests”)) juts let me tell u: illusion can not be eaten…but it surely feeds. Yes, I think so.

Pretty Woman

How many times have you seen a wooonderful and impressive woman in the street? The one that can make you stop completely or driving you into another way… But, how many of these women has also a brilliant mind? I mean, with how many of the girls that you flirt on a party you can have a conversation of more than half an hour about something that doesn’t involve fashion, complaints or frustrated desires, or in a better case, about “how hard is to be me”, “how I spent my afternoon with my friends yesterday”, or anything that surrounds her little and pink world. I really hope you have found few of these girls in your life, (in order to increase our good reputation, jaja), but if not, here I have u a true story about a real woman:

She is Deborah Berebichez, and …I just can’t tell u all what she is, because she is a lot of things, so I really suggest you to visit this web page and take a look for her curriculum!! http://www.math.nyu.edu/~debbie1/ believe me you are not going to regret!

In a very very very brief resume, she is a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics at Columbia University, and the first MEXICAN woman that has graduated from a doctoral in Physics, (yes physics, not any nastiness as “Administrador del tiempo libre” jaja (y no digo q no sea una buena carrera nomas q se necesita ligeramente un pco menos de conocimientos)) and from the Stanford University (one of the bests)… and furthermore… are u imagining an ugly and fat woman with thick lenses, and with no sense of fashion? Guess what? She is as beautiful as a model, because actually she is a professional model (also)!!! I simply can’t express my excitement about this example of women… just take a look of her web side, especially her curriculum.. You will stay impressed!...
p.d--debbie is the one of the photo up right ;)
